STEP UP : Series Discussion ;)

. . No comments:

Today, lets discuss about some movie , that’s quiet famous , and which most of you have probably watched. Yes , as the Title of this article suggest , we are going to discuss about THE STEP UP SERIES.

Till now , 5 movies , of this series have released , and as heard , the 6th and the last of this franchise will be release next year. Well I don’t know why I haven’t watched them earlier , but recently I finished watching all 5 , and Woww I am really happy that I did it.

So the 1st in series is “Step Up” [2006] , where we have Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan , playing the lead roles. The storyline is quiet simple .

Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) receives the opportunity of a lifetime after vandalizing a performing arts school ( MSA) , gaining him the chance to earn a scholarship and dance with an up and coming dancer, Nora (Jenna Dewan).

Honestly when I started watching the movie , I was in a doubt , how will Channing Tatum dance with that huge structure of his , but man I must say , he is fantastic . The story is not that much twisted and things are kind of predictable , and its okay , because you are going to watch the movie , for dance , and not for action.

Next is “Step Up 2 : The Streets” [2008] , well its one of my personal favorite , because I absolutely loved Robert Hoffman as Chase Collins , you have to admit , he was adorable with that dimpled smile , and his female lead is Briana Evigan , who has a rough voice but dances like yo yo.

Romantic sparks occur between two dance students from very different backgrounds at the Maryland School of the Arts and how they compete with the Streets and proves that Art school is not all about Ballerina.

The thing I love about this particular movie , is how easily they all get together , to compete with the street dancers , also I love Robert and Briana’s chemistry . Their salsa and the last rain dance , makes it race winner . Also you can’t avoid the great Robert Alexander III – Moose ( Adam Sevani ) , he is cute , and he is consistent .

Third in the series is “ Step Up 3D” [2010] , with Rick Malambri and Sharni Vinson , things are Perfect . Well , they for me were the cutest couple of Step Up series.

A tight-knit group of New York City street dancers, find themselves pitted against the world's best hip hop dancers in a high-stakes showdown.

So with this one , the story shifts from MSA to New York University , where Moose is doing his engineering and juggling with his dance and his best friend Camille . We also get introduced to another of my fav character / dancer Vladd ( Chadd Smith) , he is one hell of a robotic dancer  , and I absolutely love him . Well the movie no doubt is great , but I , myself find a small loop , and that is Luke Katcher (Rick) , not dancing that much , as is expected from him .

The 4th is “ Step Up Revolution” [2012] starring Ryan Guzman and Kathryn McCormick.  They are the gorgeous couple of Step Up series.

A group of Flash Mob dancers, lead by Sean (Ryan Guzman), and the daughter (Emily (Kathryn McCormick)) of a hotel Tycoon, attempt to save their Miami slum homes from being developed into hotels.

This one is my second favorite , because we not only have a good story line here , but all the dance performances are of a level . Things play out quiet cool from beginning , until Sean’s best buddy Eddy (Misa Gabriel) messes everything up , but then things do get sorted out , and all I can say is , All’s well that End’s Well .

“ Step Up : All In “ [2014] is the 5th and the last movie released till date . Okay , to very honest , I didn’t find this movie , that awesome . Though it had like someone or the other from each installment , still it lacked something. As main leads we have Ryan Guzman yet again, and Briana Evigan from Step Up 2.

All-stars from the previous Step Up installments come together in glittering Las Vegas, battling for a victory that could define their dreams and their careers.

The story starts in Los Angeles and later on shifts to Las Vegas . I really don’t have much to say about this one , it was kind of messy and a bit chaos for me. Still , the thing I loved the most about this one is the Robotic Love Story .

That was me , giving a tiny peek  into my thoughts about Step Up series , now I want you guys to come up and let me know , what you feel about these movies and what are your personal favorites , and specially ARE YOU WAITING FOR “ STEP UP 6” ???
