. . No comments:

Hello folks !!!

This is Ishita Chatterjee , a new member of this blog... and this is my very 1st post here. Hope you all will co-operate , and together we will have a good time.

So , last night bored with my studies , I decided to watch some good movie , and asked , one of my friend for some sort of suggestion, and he suggested , ‘ The Age of Adaline ‘ . I opened my browser , and did a little research , read the plot and it seemed quiet interesting and so , I simply downloaded and started watching it.

The Age of Adaline is a movie of 112 mins , falling in the Drama- Romance genre starring Blake Lively , Michiel Huisman , Harrison Ford , Kathy Baker and many more.

Plot (Imdb) :

After miraculously remaining 29 years old for almost eight decades , Adaline Bowman has lived a solitary existence , never allowing herself to get close to anyone who might reveal her secret. But a chance encounter with charismatic philanthropist Ellis Jones reignites her passion for life and romance . When a weekend with his parents threatens to uncover the truth , Adaline makes a decision that will change her life forever.

Now if you haven’t watched the movie yet …. I will suggest.. DON’T READ any further , because I am going to discuss it . So , go watch the movie and then join me for the discussion. And for those who HAVE WATCHED .. pls come forward and share your views with me .

So , as the movie started , I was honestly a bit confused , thinking whether I will like it or not , but after watching it , I am elated that I did. There were quiet a lot of things that I really liked about this movie .

I loved the way the movie started , those few lines of the Narrator  “ On December 31st , 2014 , a taxicab traveled through San Francisco, from Chinatown to Marin. The car carried a single passenger : a woman , her birth name Adaline Bowman , current alias Jennifer Larson. This is the first and last chapter of her story.”

Next I should say the concept , it was a bit different and I really enjoyed the way it was portrayed . The movie had a certain flow , and it moved with it , I didn’t find any part that boring to be mentioned.

Then I totally loved Ellis Jone’s character , he was such a nice , flirty gentleman. Yes , I know flirty and gentleman together sounds pretty weird , but what can I do , he was a flirt , and yet he was a gentleman . There conversations usually were great and one of my favourite was the one during their first kiss.

Adaline :" Tell me something I can hold on to forever and never let go."

Ellis :" Let go."

I totally adored Adaline's bond with her daughter Flemming. She was surely not able to be with her throughout her life , but it was a special one , and Flemming played a small yet a major role in Adaline’s life , it was she who made Adaline give herself another chance.

I also loved that part when we get to know that Ellis’s Dad, William is the same guy , whom she left waiting on that bench, and also there sweet love story. That was kind of shocking for me, but then obviously you can’t imagine everything going right can you ???

When I am saying about all the things I loved , I should not miss the part , when her heart stopped for the second time , and then when the medics brought her back to life and it undid her miracle , and she became normal , just like that , simple and silly.

Lastly that comet theory , the way it was related (50 years) , that was something wonderful.

I am a movie buff , and even simple movies impresses me a lot.  I know people like me exists there ...

So I welcome you guys , to come up and share your views about this movie , the likes ,the dislikes , anything you feel like discussing , because that’s what I am here for .

Thanks for reading !!!
