2014 can be
called as “current-gen” video games for all video game lovers. This year it seems that Big-budget monstrous
creature dominated the action category. The surely-headed-to-PC Grand Theft
Auto 5 rubs shoulders with intriguing multiplayer survival games like The
Division. The era of the Xbox 360 and PS3 is drawing to a close and a new epoch
is beginning.
But it’s still a good year for what
we can now start calling “last-gen” consoles, with many games releasing as
cross-gen and some—like Dark Souls II—still only announced for the 360 and PS3
(and PC.)
This
year we will have biggest, most-anticipated, and best-looking
video games .So here we are with top
games of this year 2014 :
Mad Max

Developer: Avalanche
Publisher: Warner Bros

You will be very familiar with Mad Max if you have seen the movie .This game runs around the same story as in the movie .Interestingly something which will make you to play this game will be Avalanche Studios, which will be developing this title. Avalanche Studios are better known for their brilliant work on the Just Cause series, with Just Cause 2 being particularly good. Mad Max seems to fuse the go anywhere, grapple-hook anything attitude of the Just Cause series with brutal weaponry, added car customization and a significantly browner color palette. The return of Garrett after so many years is close: Thief will be released on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One between 25th February (North America) and 28th (Europe). Many fear that it won’t fully respect the stealth legacy of the series, but soon we’ll find out if this concern has any foundation.

Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2

Castlevania |
Publisher: Konami

The first Lords of Shadow was a pleasant surprise for many, winning players round with a highly competent (if derivative) mix of third-person action, exploration and puzzling. The sequel it will let players control Gabriel Belmont once again. There are many differences now though, since Belmont was transformed in Dracula, which will obviously be reflected in the powers available. The camera won’t be fixed anymore (thank God), and quick-time events will be less common; also, the story is set into the modern world. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 was out on 25th February for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Watch Dogs

Watch Dogs

Developer: Ubisoft
Publisher: In-house

Ever since
Ubisot revealed this game back at E3 2012, Watch
Dogs never left my radar. Watch Dogs is an
open-world hacker game that looks a bit like a cross between Grand Theft Auto, Assassin’s Creed, and The Matrix. I love the concept
behind it; an open-world game where the player is able to hack anything and use
it to his advantage, be it traffic lights or mobile phones, hacking will
be your best friend when you need a hand.

The Order: 1886 (PS4)

The Order :1886

Developer: Ready at Dawn
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment

Order : 1886
This is
probably my most anticipated PS4 exclusive. The game takes the Arthurian legend
and plops it down in a clockwork, black-powder era. It looks gorgeous. If the
gameplay and story are anywhere near as high quality as the graphics we’re all
in for a treat. Or at least us PS4 owners. The game aims for a strong
movie-like appearance, to the point where the resolution will be 1920×800 and
the remaining will be black bars.
