India-Unsafe for women? Why?

In today's world.. Where technology makes everything fast at the speed of lightning we, the Indians lack behind in the most basic thing:respecting women.
Pre independence it was seen how women were treated..they had to die when their husbands died they had to wear what was told to them they had to wear ghunghats cover themselves from top to bottom.. We say that we are a developing nation.. Still in our country we find women in ghunghats burkas hijabs.. They have to wear it forcefully and not by their will.. How have we developed? The basics need to be strong but our basic is very very weak.. In todays world girls are molested teased and looked down upon.. It is said that women get raped because of the explicit clothes worn by them but in villages married women do not wear the so called EXPLICIT CLOTHES they wear sarees.. But still they are raped.. Right from remote villages to a metropolitean city rape is done everywhere. They next question is why.. The answer is with us.. It is because the people who should take charge do not even file a case.. Medical does not have a proper standardised aid for the victims.. They are not supported.. Instead they are looked down upon.. But yes there is a chance.. When people cannit help us we can help ourselves.. We can still live our lives in a dignified way if we stand up and fight... Clothes is not the medium through which you judge a character its the will that helps you judge the character... We need to learn how to respect.. We need to spread awareness.. We need to stand up and protest.. We need to educate the young minds... Make them responsible citizens of India.. We have to contribute... We need to wake up and become responsible citizens of our country... We can contribute in our own way by listening observing and keeping our eyes open and fight back.. It will make a difference.
