India vs New Zealand: INDIA'S BATTLE FOR A WIN IN THE SERIES
DHONI SLAMS THE TEAM ON MISSED CHANCES

MS Dhoni was left with mixed feelings after India lost the first Test to New Zealand in Auckland by 40 runs on Sunday. Chasing 406 to win, India's batsmen rallied hard before being bowled out for 366 on the penultimate day of the match.
"Our batsmen batted well in the second innings. Close to the 85th over, we lost a few wickets and we had a tough decision at the same time which meant we were short of 30-35 runs and that was the crucial phase.
"The second new ball would have moved for maybe five-six overs maximum. That was the period when if we would have not given our wickets, we would have got those 40 runs. So there were quite a few things that did not go our way," Dhoni said after the match.

The 40-run loss to New Zealand in the Auckland Test on Sunday was Dhoni's 11th away loss, overtaking 10 suffered by teams led by MAK Pataudi, Mohammad Azharuddin and Sourav Ganguly.
